Made to be treasured.
Designed to be worn,
Laurence Sabrine is the designer behind the eponymous label based in Wellington, New Zealand. His design process is a balancing act within his inner world as a queer Filipino. These fragments of self are then carefully pieced together to reveal an intricate reimagining of his personal history. The work takes on the responsibility of telling these stories and moving them into the new.
From its inception, the brand has always had a focus on the act of recovering and it’s in these moments of finding where everything comes alive. This act is portrayed, quite literally, through the reconstitution of secondhand materials. Every piece in the collection is made from deadstock or secondhand materials, handcrafted as a one-of-one garment, or made in small batches in our local artisanal studio, with a constant responsibility to elevate the identity of their histories.
Our garments are designed to be worn, but made to be treasured. Whether it’s a casual coffee date with your best friend, or you’re dressing up for an exhibition opening, we want to be there for your special moments. Because every moment deserves to be special.
